Why,said another,'Some there are who tell
Of one who threatens he will toss to Hell
The luckless Pots he marr'd in making - Pish!
He's a Good Fellow,and 't will all be well.'

'Well,' murmur'd one, 'Let whoso make or buy,
My Clay with long Oblivion is gone dry:
But fill me with the old familiar Juice,
Methinks I might recover by and by.'

Domestic Wares Terracotta Wares  Large Pieces Links

I have been making and selling my pottery for twenty years now and have experimented with many styles.

I like to use bright colours and many of the vessels shown on this site are slip decorated in abstract or figurative motives and finished with a transparent glaze. My interest in gardening will often show up in the subjects I use on my pots.

I generally throw pieces which have a practical function including teapots, casseroles, vases, lasagne dishes, cheese dishes, mixing bowls, etc and some examples are shown.

I particularly enjoy making larger pieces to suit particular tastes and will accept commissions if the work is within my capability. Some of the special pieces I have completed in the past are shown on this site.

I also produce garden terracotta wares  such as wall pots, patio pots, wall plaques, etc. and have recently started to produce Green Man masks as garden pieces.

If you are interested to purchase any items or to discuss a commission please contact me at the address below.
